Snow Fort

The Snow Fort

When I went to go check for what I had for homework I was kinda surprised to see that I had to make a fort for homework... But the five year old self in me enjoyed the idea of doing that. Right when I read the assignment I literally got so excited to do it I threw on all of my winter gear and grabbed a pitch fork and a shovel and started to dig on one of the left over snow drifts from the plows that was rolling through to the end of my house. What I used to make the fort was my hands, a pitch fort, and a big shovel. I used the pitch for to make it so the snow could be easy to move around and take out. the I stared to take out the snow with my hands that I poked with a pitch fork, and it started to form it a little doom that could only fit my body tight but snug. Then when I was done with the sides I started to taking snow off the top so I could fit into the fort. Then when that was done I grabbed the shovel and I took out all the left over snow in the fort and put it on the side. I dug it out till I could see the road, and now I have plenty of room in the fort. Then when I was done with the inside I took the left over snow and I started to pack the entrance of the fort so heat can stay in and I can get in and out. That believe it or not worked because as I was laying in there you could see steam coming out the fort and it was pretty warm in there, If you have a few blankets you should be able to stay in there over night. That is the purpose of it to have something to stay in over night. Say your a homeless person and it is freezing out like it is now and you have no where to go, and it just snowed and there are snow drifts everywhere, a homeless person could dig out the drift and could stay there overnight with a few blankets they could be fine, it kind of acts like an igloo, and it could help a lot of homeless people stay safe as long as they a willing to dig it out.
