Robots. Good thing? Bad thing? There is this huge ongoing debate - Are robots good or bad? Are they going to take over the world? Well, I have some scary statistics for you.

On the bright side, Artificial Intelligence may be the future of weather forecasting according to CBS Boston. It allows the user to have customized information for any given user. CBS uses the example of being a baseball coach, and the AI knowing that makes it streamline information about pop up storms, or information about outside weather in early afternoons to evenings. Another plus, according to a recent poll posted up by SYFYWire (50% Women and 71% Men in favor), electronic Sex dolls are also riding on the wave of the future.
In Other news, there are weed killing Robots that are a huge help to farmers. But every good comes with bad. These weed killing robots are simultaneously threatening Giant Chemical Companies' business models, and, most artificial intelligence are replacing people and taking jobs. According to ABC, The International Monetary fund warns that robots are creating a wages and employment "Death Spiral". "The future of work run by robots appears to be a dystopian march to rising inequality, falling wages and higher unemployment". According to a poll taken of 2500 Businessmen in over 14 countries by PR Newswire, "Over half (54%) say robots automate repetitive or mundane work that they would otherwise have to do themselves, and 34 percent agrees that robots are more efficient than humans in the workplace.". The WIRED Guide to Robots puts it quite well, when they say, "Modern Robots are not unlike toddlers: It’s hilarious to watch them fall over, but deep down we know that if we laugh too hard, they might develop a complex and grow up to start World War III. None of humanity’s creations inspires such a confusing mix of awe, admiration, and fear: We want robots to make our lives easier and safer, yet we can’t quite bring ourselves to trust them. We’re crafting them in our own image, yet we are terrified they’ll supplant us.".

If your biggest fear is total Robo-takeover, I have bad news for you. Recently scientists created A new, soft, robotic skin that automatically heals itself, even if you shoot it full of holes. It is made out of droplets of liquid metal inside a rubber-like substance that can bend, fold, and stretch. When it becomes broken the droplets burst open and create new circuits, to replace the broken ones. The current is never broken, so electricity continues to flow. Scientists believe that this will help with creating more life-like humanoids. (So yes, Robots are totally going to take over the world.)
