Adaptive Air Suspension
Audi has created a Smart Suspension that adjusts the angle of the body and axle to account for incoming threats. It is a very neat thing that is said to be a standard item in most cars coming soon. As people get more and more distracted by phones and technology we see more and more accidents occur. This is why having smart air suspension is really important. The point of it is to adjust to environments and challenges. What that means is that the suspension will adjust for offroad raising the cab of the car up to give extra ground clearance and comfort. One of the most important features is how the Smart Suspension combats car accidents.

The Smart Suspension adjusts the angle of the axle and the cabin to account for the incoming forces. What is cool is how it works and the reasoning behind it. Many cameras are set up around the car and are always detecting car and objects. It detects speed, direction, and distance to calculate if it is an actual threat or if it is just someone trying to pass you on the highway. The way it works is it uses air to extend the struts on the side the impact is going to come from and lower the opposite side. The axles actually do the reciprocal. The axle is tilted toward the direction of the threat to brace for impact. The result of these adjustments is to evenly distribute the impact and create a safer driving experience.
