Winter Candle
How I made it: I started by filling the larger plastic cup about halfway with water. Then I placed the shot glass inside the container so that it would be floating in the water. After that, I taped the top of the shot glass to the sides of the container so that it would stay straight up in the water. I placed the entire thing in the freezer for about 3 hours until frozen solid. Then, I took it out of the freezer and ran warm water on the container until the ice candle holder came out.
Meeting the Criteria:
- It holds a small candle safely
- The flame is within the shell and can be viewed through the ice
- The shell is made out of ice and snow
- My name is carved into the ice
- I demonstrated it outside so bonus points
