Red Sox Fan Snow Statue

Red Sox Fan Snow Statue

When I first stepped outside into the snow I was given the choice of making a snow bridge, a snow cave or fort, or a detailed snow statue. I choose to make a snow person, but I wanted to be creative and give my creation a sort of purpose or theme. My first thought was to make a dancing or athletic snow person but the snow was not packing together, and would not have provided enough stability. In the end I thought that the use of clothing would be a creative way to give my snow person a theme and reason for creation, thus resulting in a Red Sox Fan Snow statue.

My process began by choosing clothing for my creation. I chose denim jeans, a navy red sox top, a red red sox hat, and lastly a navy and light blue fleece jacket to keep my snow person warm of course. First I took the jeans and completely stuffed them full of as much snow as possible so they looked like a pair of real legs. Next, I found a comfortable place to "rest" my snow person, this being a "red sox fan bench". I took the snow filled jeans and "sat" them on the bench making it look like a sitting human. Furthermore, I gave the statue a body/chest area by packing snow on top of the snow-filled jeans and then placed over the red-sox t-shirt. Lastly, I gave my creation a head my rolling a circle/oval shaped ball and placing it on top of the body. I topped off my red sox fan snow statue with a matching red hat, a fleece jacket, and some facial additions.

This snow statue was fun to make and would make a great contribution to any winter Red Sox fan's home!
