IFEX 3000 Impulse Firefighting Gun

Due to an estimated increase of the Fire Protection Systems Market being estimated to rise to be worth 93.46 billion dollars by 2022, businesses are spending a lot more money on fire protection. The types of technology designed in the Fire Protection area is products that make fighting fires safer and more efficient. A recent product created in this area is the IFEX 3000 Impulse Firefighting Gun. This gun was created by IFEX Technologies in 2004. This product consists of a gun and a backpack or trolley with a tank of the extinguishing mixture, made of water and foam additives, that can be shot out of the gun at more than 400 km/h. There is no limit to the type of fire this gun can put out, as it has been tested to put out larger fires.  This gun allows for Firefighters to get up closer to the fire and put it out more effectively than using a long hose, that is tough to carry, to put out the fire.

How Does It Work?

This weapon shoots by putting the mixture under an air pressure of 25 bars and shooting the mixture once the high speed valve is triggered. Along with the extinguishing mixture tank, a water tank is connected to the IFEX 3000. It constantly pumps water into the gun so the gun is always ready to fire after pulling the trigger once and the water mixture has reloading into the gun. The gun is reloaded automatically since the mixture and water are hooked up to the weapon. When the water tank runs out you will have to refill it. However, for the mixture tank you will have to hook up a brand new tank because they cannot be refilled. The water supply is filled in the front half of the gun toward the muzzle, and the extinguishing mixture is filled in the back half of the gun. When the trigger of the gun is pulled, the high speed valve pushes the water out of the gun and shoots it while the extinguishing mixture is being shot out right behind the water at the same speed. The IFEX 3000 Impulse Firefighting Gun is a great tool for fighting fires. Although it costs a lot for extra tanks for the gun to operate, it is simple to use and very effective at a close range, and easier to carry compared to a long heavy hose. Other than being expensive to be able to refill the gun, it is a great weapon that makes Firefighter's jobs a lot easier.
